An Urban Club in Tokyo
- Interior spaces havethe capacity to transform one’s behavior; how they see themselves and how they perceivetheir actions. In the design for this club in the Harajuku district in Tokyo,the youth subculture, with its mixture of cute and gothic aesthetics, isaddressed. The building’s bars and lounges shift in scale and lighting techniquesto produce a range of effects from calm to elaborately dark, allowing the usersto immerse themselves in the sensations that are enjoyed in the cosplay cultureof the youth in Harajuku.
