This traditional wedding set was design for my Sister's wedding. At the beginning of the project there was no dominant theme so it was decided that the stationary should be traditional and rustic as the reception venue was a converted barn building, but also it was decided to incorporate the colour scheme of the wedding which was deep purple and a gerbera flower which was worn by the Bride Groom and Ushers.
The design has a running theme of hand drawn imagery of the gerbera and the church and the barn venue, which was then continued on the menus which included images of the wedding meal. These images are combined with the classic serif typeface, Adobe Caslon Pro, which has a wide range of styles including swash italics, small caps which was perfect for the stylistic type setting and layout design.
The stationary is deep purple ink printed onto thick, cream, texture card which made the design much more tactile and also added to the rustic feel.
The set includes: Invitations (Main Invititations, BBQ Invitation, an Additional Information Sheet, and Maps to both venues) Order of Service, Menus, Table Plan, Tables Name Cards, Place Names, and Wedding Car Reserve Signs.
