So I used to be a toy sculptor . . .
Right after college I started as a full time toy sculptor. This was in 2000 and we were sculpting figures out of clay. Most, if not all of these figures were sculpted out of Castilene which is a wax/clay mix. I worked at McFarlane Toys for about 4 years before switching to freelance toy sculpture which lasted another 4 years. Below are some figures that I did during that time. I have some articulated figures but most of my work was in the super-hero collectible genre.
