Toto La Momposina is an icon of traditional Colombian music and a renowned figure on the world music stage, having recorded on Peter Gabriel's Real World Records. In February of 2013 Toto was recording a new album in Bogotá, with her group, Los Tambores. I was invited to capture some images. This project will be enlarged hopefully in the near future, to include some video material, in an attempt to express a more rounded image of her spirit as well as her music.
