Totemism

colored stacks of  worthless objects
This work can and should be considered as a homage to the ceramic totems of Ettore Sottsass. It was driven by a process of randomization which is the actual innovative twist to this kind of operation: each totem was made during one single visit to a flea market with parts available at that moment.
The intent is to create the perception of an added value so that the assembled totems should be percieved as something much more valuable than the mere sum of their valueless single parts.
