Ronei Recker’s poetry book is profound and intense. It’s a beautiful story that really draws you in. Visually, I wanted to translate those feelings in a non-literal way.

Separately, the images have no specific meaning. They’re contemplative and metaphorical, loosely attached to what’s actually being said. Combined, all the images really carry the true sentiment of Ronei’s lyricism. The images hues, almost lyrical, transcend reality and transport the reader to another space and time. A nonspecific, undefined, perhaps nonexistent place. One that’s very real in all of our hearts.
