In 1996 I was one of the model makers pictured above with one of our creations for the James Cameron film, "Titanic." I was part of this project while working for Digital Domain.
This section is a work in progress as I select, scan, size, and retouch many of the photos taken during that project as we were working on the miniatures. This particular miniature is the beauty model and was used for all shots of the ship sailing on the ocean. In many of the shots it is the only non-digital item in the shot. It is 1/20th scale placing its length at about 45 feet, and was constructed by using the plans from Harland and Wolff Shipyards.
In case you are wondering, I am the one wearing the light grey, short-sleeve t shirt kneeling next to the girls in the front row.
