Tirana Urban masterplan
Tirana, Albania
As part of a small urban design team I have contributed to the design and representation of the masterplan for Albania's capital, Tirana, by creating 2D drawings, renders and physical models.
The proposed masterplan aims to connect the area north of the capital with the existing city through the extension of the main boulevard axis up to the river line. It is enhanced by a series of high quality public spaces and flanked by new important public and private buildings.
The areas along and around the boulevard will follow eco-compact city principals, focusing on sustainable density and mixed use to generate a thriving new district. The total width between buildings from east to west is 70m. The main roadway is designated a primary urban road.
