Time 100 Book
Rachel Carson
For this project we were to design a book which documents the historical significance of one of the individuals on the Time 100 list. My subject was Rachel Carson, an author and environmental activist who helped to ban DDT pesticide. I used earth-toned paper and duotone images taken from Carson's book Silent Spring, and opted for a light, elegant typeface to reference naturalist texts from the 1950’s and 60’s.
