Telford. Town Park. Maxell Cherry Garden. 7 May 2013
The weather forecast for coming days is all about rain. Yes we need rain especially after these 3 days of glorious sunshine. To capitalise on the remaining sun, during my lunch break I went to Telford town park. It has a lovely gem – a small Cherry Garden established by a Japanese company Maxell. In these times of continuous budget cuts I am so glad that the local council is still maintaining it. As Spring is in charge the garden welcomes you with  overwhelming scent of hyacinths and cherry blossom. I spent about 35 mins  of making this sketch in total peace.
Telford. Maxell's Cherry Garden. 8 May 2013
We had rain in the morning and honestly I did not plan to go out. However by lunch time the Sun was calling me out. This time not a person in the garden I sat in total peace in the midst of flying petals. Idyllic!
Tuesday 14th May 2013. Back to Telford Town Park. This time I tried to sketch a Band Stand next to the Chelsea Gardens. The weather was not on my side. Cold wind and rain forced me to retreat back to the warmth of my office. The good thing was that I managed to outline the scene and even to paint the grey clouds.
May the 16th … glorious sunny day. Finished the sketch … had to apply blue paint over my previously painted grey sky.
The Chelsea Gardens are next to the Maxell’s Cherry Garden and have connection to the famous London Chelsea Garden Show as the Telford  team  of gardeners displayed  this garden originally there and after the show they  replanted the garden in Telford so the legend says.
