Thronateeska Science Discovery Center
Lyons/Zaremba Inc, 2008
Thronateeska Science Discovery Center in Albany, Georgia was a very small project with almost no money for photo rights or copywriting. It was the first project at LZI that I was design lead on (and I was illustrator and copywriter too). Thankfully, the clients let me have carte blanche in terms of design.

It's still one of my favorite projects because I got to experience my dream of designing a natural history exhibit. Unfortunately, LZI never sent a photographer to take professional pictures of the finished product.
The Night Sky, a 10-foot disc that shows you what the sky over Albany looks like at different times of the year. The constellations are all accented with illustrations. A band on the outer rim allows you to select the date using a wheel.
The paleontology area had plastic "fossil" shapes buried in sand, with trays to assemble the pieces. I picked some of my favorite critters from the Walking with Dinosaurs and Walking with Beasts BBC series, then turned them into puzzles.
Retro futuristic-themed panels for two big H.G. Wells-looking optics exhibits.
