Artist Statement:

In my research Ihave been drawing inspiration from many artists from the dada movement. GeorgeGrosz and John Heartfield are wonderfully taking up most of my time. Theirpolitically charged works have inspired me greatly to adventure into my ownexploration of the man that has been psychoanalyzed for decades, yet is still amystery to the most learned psychiatrists. I aspire to further delve into hispsyche and motivation that transformed him from a homeless, art school rejectto the most ruthless, charismatic dictator the world has ever known. History isdoomed to repeat itself if we do not understand; however with understandingcomes empathy. To empathize with a murderer seems illogical and insensitive tothe people affected by his actions but to prevent this from happening again, itis essential.Being such a broadtopic, I have chosen to focus mainly on eugenics and the political, financialand moral aspects of it as a once accepted ideal. I hope to shed some light onwhere the idea of racial purification started, how it became accepted by analarming amount of people, as wellIn drawinginspiration from a movement whose sole purpose was to offend and deconstruct, rather than stimulate and please people’s visual aesthetic at that time, Iimagine my work on this subject will offend as well. I hope to achieve such aresponse from an audience who is willing to take a second look and attempt tounderstand this vicious, genocidal human being because he was human. We don’tknow if the world will see such a disturbed mind again; but it would be in ourmost optimal interest to be better prepared if that becomes the case.////////////////////////////////////////////////////
