From school classrooms to after school programs, from child to adult, I've used theater and drama techniques to encourage people of all ages to explore their world and themselves. While some of the classes or workshops focus on skill building in theater, many of them use theater as a tool to explore issues. In a program for adults with development disabilities we used puppets, masks, and drama activities to help this wonderful group find their creative voice. In high school workshops I used performance art to allow the students to express themselves, and discovered an underlying culture of bullying at the school. From makeup to acting, from theater history to directing, I've helped students on every step of their career in theater, or simply encouraged people to approach the world with a different perspective.
