Regarding the design of the icons, I have taken inspiration from the work of Tom Gauld, you can have a look at his amazing drawings on his website, and on his Flickr account. 

The idea was to develop an infographic that would help the user to relive the story in two ways.

The first one helps to relive the tale through a selection of one of the main characters. Choosing a character allows to retrace everything s/he does until the end, and every interaction s/he has on the way. 

The second one allows the user to relive the story through a simplified timeline of the main events of it; twelve important events have been chosen and have been represent through pictograms.
