The great survivor I.

 
This ongoing project is about the survival of material.
The idea came from my father, who used to carry a photo of his grandmother in his purse. Even it was damaged, schratched, torn apart and then sticked together again over the years (at least 30), it was still a visible, tactile image you can actually hold in your hand.
 
Saying how digital changed everything is no big news. Luckily I’m not the onlyone who is still devoted about analogue photography technics and using those to create images.
 
In this experiment I destroyed plenty of my printed photograps in different ways, to test the tolerability of the material, also observed and documented the mutation.
I don’t claim digital is necessarily from the devil, but turned out to be a much more fragile process then any material based one.
