The story was read to school children for over 10 years before it was actually self published by author Peter Mountain and Illustrator Bryan Pollard. Over the years the concept work was developed and tested in extension art lessons by Bryan and even with adults it proved to be well received. With this proven response in the class rooms of New Zealand schools Peter and Bryan ventured out into the forming of their own company called Exceptional Books New Zealand. The Wolf's Revenge is a covert message on the way revenge can visit another generation and the folly of it continue to have it's negative effect. The message is a profound yet fun loving look at the issue of forgiveness without bringing the subject up at all. As the Illustrator Bryan found this venture a delightful experience. As an art Tutor of all ages and as an experienced professional in the art of Publishing and marketing, this project proved to be an excellent opportunity to develop the skills needed to tell well a great story in words and pictures. These two books, Smelly locks and this one The Wolf's Revenge as the first two in a series that we hope will prove to be great reading for all ages.
