The UNICEF Tap Project
Turning the world's largest social network into a waternetwork.
The Tap Project for Unicef was introduced by Droga5 in 2007. This year we created a Facebook app which lets users make a $5 donation ,via paypal or text message, and then turn their Facebook profile into a Tap. This allows them pass the water on to two friends who can open their Taps and pass the water on to their friends and so on. The user can watch his own water network grow within the overall network. In addition celebrities and ambassadors like Alyssa Milano, Nas, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Spacey, Heidi Klum among others will open their own Taps and invite their fans to join via Facebook and Twitter. We will turn the world's largest social network into the world's largest water network.
