The TOFU Project is a not-for-profit program that helps bring Japanese youth together to meet with successful Japanese people in the Silicon Valley and learn what it means to be an entrepreneur. After a successful first year in 2011, the team is at it again for its 2012 event, called Reverse TOFU, and for this a new web design was necessary.
In a team of seven, we brainstormed what elements are necessary for the design in order to grab the attention of our target audience. From there the design creation was left in the hands of three of us, including myself.
Phase 1: Using mockingbird, we created a wireframe of the kind of organization of elements we were looking for in the design layout.
Phase 2: Created a visualization of the wireframe design layout agreed upon using Adobe Photoshop.
Phase 3: Using a combination of HTML5, CSS, and PHP, we incorporated the visual design layout agreed upon to our Wordpress CMS account.
