- The Starling Box
by
Anita Johansen and Anne Ahrendt Futtrup

- In Anne and Anita’s latest furniture The Starling box, they’ve made a synthesis of storage and table that encourages to be explored. Twist the tabletop and a colorful world appears in little upholstered storage boxes. Through the transformation of the furniture, the two design students have tried to create a homey haven, where it is possible for the user to storage his small personal belongings, creating roots in a busy everyday life
The Starling Box is made of MDF and solid beech painted high gloss white, oak veneer, and a colorful palette of felt.
- Anne Ahrendt Futtrup and Anita Johansen are both doing their masters in furniture design and are last year students at The Danish Design School. They work conceptually, experimentally and with great curiosity.
