Residential, Qatar - 2011 - The project seeks to resist this tendency to create a clear separation between 2 buildings built on same land parcel as the client requested a residential building with 2 separated cores. To articulate this strategy the proposal begins by rethinking residential building lobbies and atriums.
The Split Residence can be seen as a single residential building sliced open into two smaller blocks, but brought back together by a public void. connecting road on the south with the road on the north of the site. Also, maintaining the connection between the typical floors with a semi-shaded bridges.
Upon the roof the residents can enjoy a shaded swimming pool and a roof garden.
