This was the solution to a concept brief given to showcase a new southern range of wines for Waitrose.
After exploring the current market of wine packaging I felt it lacked influences of culture and the design was very bland. In my designs I've brought these influences of culture through, as I felt that this was key in targeting the main consumers of wine.
The bright orange colour help the wine to stand out on the shelf against the many other brands. Also where the wines are produced has played a big part in the design of the packaging. The numbers showcased on the front label are the longitude and latitude of that particular country the wine comes from. This is also explained on the back of the wine label and box and why it adds to the taste and experience of the wine.
The wine boxes have an opening tab that seals the box with a magnetic strip. This magnetic strip is tearable and you are then able to keep it as a reference of the wine brand and also the specific one you liked. Also on the inside of the tearable strip contains a recipe that is best suited for that style of wine whether its red, white or rose.
