The Sketchbook Project 2012 World Tour

The Submission

A sketchbook is the starting point for many creative types – it is packed full of thoughts and ideas, and records without knowing, the process of each individual. My goal was to offer viewers an opportunity to witness the process behind the creation of this book. To create an engaging experience and bring the book to life.

The Sketchbook Project is a "constantly evolving library of artists' sketchbooks from across the globe", organized by the Art House Co-op. Each year thousands of sketchbooks are collected and exhibited on a world wide tour before they join the Brooklyn Art Library.

Attend the show, examine the book, scan the code and witness the creation. Participants at the show are encouraged to 'bring the story to life' by scanning the QR code found within the book. They can then watch as the process unfolds in this video as they filp through the tactile pages of the sketchbook.
