'King for a Day' art show at Hero Complex Gallery

I was invited to create a poster for Hero Complex Gallery's art show 'King For a Day', which is an art tribute to the body of work by acclaimed author Stephen King. I chose 'The Shawshank Redemption' because it was the most personal choice to me, as I haven't read many of his works or seen many of his films, particularly the older ones. The reason i am so drawn to Shawshank is because of its core theme being Hope, that even in the most dire of circumstances and the most unjust situations, that there is always hope if we can persevere, that was the motivation and inspiration behind this poster.
