The Seed
- The Seed
Office Building, Qatar - 2011 - In order to nourish a distinctive identity for the business owner, we sought a strong visual impact, something distinctive and up to date; to reflect the company's strategies.
Our seed was a piece of graphic collage including the name of the company, which we then used its color values to derive and control the size of the openings in the company's building main facade, this translation recreated and represented the base artwork in a more distinctive and peculiar way spread out and around almost the whole facade of the company.
The skin that looks from far away as a solid graphic imprint, actually diffuses the light in a very interesting way, creating uniquely lit interior spaces by day and distinctive exterior by night."
What started as a fun exercise in parametric tools, turned a very baffling question, what really could be defined as an architectural design, were should the line be drawn between architecture and other territories like graphic design, branding, fashion etc...
should there be a line to start with?!
