There really isn't any way to approach the subject of professional wrestling with a straight face, except to say that it is pure escapism for my friends and I once a week, every week. I created this poster that suggests what wrestling is really about is cultural struggle. As fans, we each have "our guy", one wrestler in particular that we pull for, no matter what. That wrestler is our representation, an avatar of sorts, that stares down the competition and body slams them in the center of the ring, as we would all like to be able to do sometimes. Who couldn't love that?
