The reason for this project was to come up with a concept and theme for the Keiser design & multimedia portfolio show. As a group we all in the design & multimedia program pitched our ideas for the theme of the show. We all played off the name the office and thought about being professionals so we came up with the name “The Professionals”. After we had the theme down that we wanted we all came up with some sketches of our own ideas and pitched the idea's to our professor. We then had the three top sketches we had and then created comps for each idea of the poster and postcard. We all gathered back to the table to show our comps to each other and have a vote for each person and their comps on what one we should finalize and perfect. After talking with the class and getting some feedback from the other students and professor I then went with the best concept I had. The process after the comps was a little bit more work with having to take custom photography of a good subject that would fit the poster and postcard I was going for. I took the photos I had into photoshop adjusted them to the correct size and began my editing to the photo itself before I even placed the type in. After setting the photo up correctly I then put my type in the poster with the date and time added. When I finished laying the type out on the poster I then kept the same layout for the postcard but adding the logo and address on the back instead.
