The Pet Pack was my final major project. It was based on the hypothesis that information for first time pet owners, although is out there, it is scattered across the market and generally hard to get what you need from it. I believe this could be a strong link between the rising percentage of neglect throughout the United Kingdom. Owners do not understand the full implications of owning a dog before they actually are in ownership of one.
I therefore designed a pet pack, focusing on dogs, to be a single source of information targeted towards first time dog owns. The pack includes a set of cards designed to help the owner-to-be decide whether or not they are ready for a dog. Assuming they can, they are then to move onto step two which is a more in-depth booklet or visit the website where they will receive relevant information on which specific dog is for them.
