These are non objects.
These things lost the final part of the production process, this lack left them useless,
they loss their identity.
The purpose of this project was to create something in the boundary between art and design through the philosophy of non-places. By getting mass produced objects in a stage of production before they are finished I am questioning: Despite these objects look like objects, are they really a key or a newspaper? They are not, because they have never been finished. These objects lost their identity because they were never completed, they stayed in an unfinished limbo that left them useless and denaturalized so they are a non-dice, non-key, non-newspaper because nothing else can define them.
I play with the lack of difference between reality and illusion that according to Bataille is typical of postmodern times.
I wanted to create a parallel world in which uprooting became obvious. In this world people lose the objects they already had and realize the drift that is taking place, while reinventing their relation with the artificial world.
