The Monstrosities of the Femme Fatale

Love and Lies
The pleasure is all mine.
The devil destroys the peace, with no hint of emotion on her face.
It is my intention to use the snakes as a representation of cold evil, and the dove as a helpless bringer of peace. The woman's expressionlessface signifies true evil that commits crimes with no remorse.
Meat and Poison
I use the image of an aristocratic woman from Japan's highly formalHeian period and placed her in a dark swamp to invoke a feeling ofdisplacement. I try to keep the venus flytraps subtle as well.
Most of all, I wanted to keep her expression soft and sad, as she is surrounded by death.
Flesh and Bones
Seductiveness was the main theme that I want to capture in this painting.
I wanted the woman to look dangerously sexy, but also to remain mysterious and suspicious as she floats up from the depths with her deep sea friends.
Death and Trust
I wanted this picture to be flirty and cheerful at the first glance.
Eventually, I want her spider body to emerge. Whether or not the painting remains cheerful is up to the viewer.
Personally though, I think she's just having innocent fun with the iguana.
Blood and Water
I had the idea of a tragic bride drowning in a chapel amongst her guests.
As I continued, she transformed into a beautiful kraken and her expression changed into contentment instead.
It is a pleasure of mine to hear other people's stories about this painting.
