- The Meat Up opened in San Francisco with the intention of getting people to connect and appreciate the animal they are eating. Today many people eat without thinking about what goes into the creation of food and how it gets to the consumer. The Meat Up focuses on being completely transparent, from the farm the animal came from, to it’s slaughter and even how the meat is transported to the store.
