  • Nemesi Animale is an animal-rights activists group that conducts undercover investigations into Italian farms. Their intent is to bring to light shocking images that reveal the instiutionalized suffering that humans inflict on animals, to raise public awareness about ongoing animal abuse or unsanitary conditions. Investigating the meat production is an illegal activity, but they are involved because they say: "it is essential to show how intensive farming breeds and kills animals. We reject animal exploitation because our choice is to live vegan". Internationally, legislative action against animal rights activists has become more widespread. EUROPOL released the "2011 EU Terrorism situation and Trend Report", where the authors expressed concern that "some members of animal rights, anarchist and environmental extremist groups are moving towards a shared ideology."
