The Last Semester

This is the last concept i had during my last semester back in the college. The research was led me to figure out the similarity between Graffiti and Mountaineering/Hiking. Later i found a similarity that graffiti artists in Indonesia usually paint on an abandoned ruined building that the surface has the same texture as the mountain/hiking track.

So the solution was to make a medium-cut-rigid-constructed shoe that provides to walk among the ruins on an abandoned building which is inspired by a mountaineering/hiking shoe with a running shoe sole--consider that sometimes graffiti artists need to run from the security officer or even a police while they going out to bomb some city walls.

The lacing system of the shoe was adapted from a hard mountaineering shoe along with the hooks to make them easy to loose the lace out. The shoe will gonna work as a hiking boots when you paint on a ruin of an abandoned  building as long as you lace all the hooks up, and they will gonna work as a fully performance running shoe when you go out to tag some trucks in the night as long as you unlace the hooks. Because I know it's hard to run when you rock a pair of mountaineering/hiking boots.

Scroll down to flow through the process.
Thanks!
