The Inland Sea is an online documentary project about a ten-week odyssey in Australia by Norwegian journalist Steinar Ellingsen.
Between November 2008 and February 2009 Steinar and a team of three drove 16,000 kms from Melbourne, to Adelaide, Darwin, Perth and back – almost the same distance as Melbourne-Oslo.
The project is an experiment in convergence journalism and repurposing of documentary content, and an effort in new media self education for a newspaper journo.
