The Image of Our Landscapes –
19th Century Singapore Through Paintings, Prints and Photograph
This exhibition explored the dramatic transformation of the Singapore landscape during the 19th century. The Canyon gallery and overlooking balcony gallery provided the visitor with a unique perspective on over 130original artifacts including prints and photographs; paintings, albums and illustrated books from the collection of the museum and the National Archives helped illustrate this key turning point in Singapore’s history. The approach was presented in both a thematic and chronological narrative that captured the detailed impressions and atmosphere of the time.
