  • What we were asked to do
    We were contacted by Martin Stacey, co-founder of The Guild to create an identity for his new animation and visual effects collective. We have worked with Martin in the past on projects for the BBC, Square Brussels and VRT so we had a pretty good idea of whom we would be targeting. View the VRT project

    Our process
    Being a collective, we wanted to create a unique logo made up of parts - this was primarily to communicate the idea of different elements coming together, such as creative individuals, disciplines and ideas. In addition, we were interested in exploring the visual language of vintage television graphics and typography, specifically those found in monochromatic test cards. This created tangible link with the animation and visual effects core of the business.

    What we designed
    The identity was applied to a suite of stationery and a simple website homepage featuring The Guild showreel. An animated version of the logo will follow shortly.
