Abandoned home in Macon Co., Tuskegee, AL.
(For forty years, 1932 – 1972, black males were denied treatment of their syphilis.)
the filth
A clothesline of a Tuskegee resident was included for its symbolic nature.
(There were up to six-hundred men affected, including some of the black faculty of Tuskegee Institute.)
