Re-establishing one of the world’s greatest sporting events.

The world’s most famous steeplechase is more than just a race. An integrated campaign was needed to span all three of the Grand National’s incredible days. We captured imaginations by showing what made each one a special chapter in this iconic festival of racing, entertainment and celebration.

The Grand National needed to drive ticket sales across all three days. And it had an image problem, especially around its iconic ‘Ladies Day’. While it’s watched on TV by over 600 million people, the Grand National is more than one incredible race. It’s a glittering three-day festival filled with non-stop drama and excitement. It’s also at its very best when experienced up close and personal. We needed to convey this and give a clear sense of each day’s personality, whilst raising the style stakes.

Our creative went all out for grandness and greatness. The pinnacle of sporting theatre – all perfectly staged, utterly unscripted. We captured the atmosphere and brand essence through three striking lead images. From the clarion call of Opening Day, to the glamour of Ladies Day and the all-consuming drama of the big day itself. Each created to inspire and connect.
