The Golden Fur Pin is the Danish Fur industry’s most renowned design competition. Since its foundation, the competition experienced a steady increase in interest, and has thus become a key marketing platform for the participating designers as well as the fur industry as a whole.
In connection with its 10th anniversary in 2007, the competetion was re-launched with a new powerful and prospective profile, designed by Re-public.
The design brief stated that the new identity should convey both the traditional, elegant and exclusive qualities of the fur – as well as the youthful, innovative and quirky contribution of the participating design students.
Re-public has created a logo where classical typography is treated with a modern and experimental approch to seperation and justification of the lettering. The logo and overall identity obtains a solid, classic yet modern feel, with a touch of the "incompleteness" that the design students bring – symbolizing the essence of the entire competition.
