We're frequent visitors of Vida Café Greenside. Andrew, Zweli, Costan, Micky… they're a pretty cool bunch of baristas, always ready with a quip or a strong sales pitch for the Apple Cinnamon muffins. One of the results of our regular visits was a large stash of coffee stirring sticks accumulating on our desk. Then one day Gawie started doodling on a stick and stuck it to the wall. It looked lonely so he sketched on another. Then we all joined in. There's a bit of a sense of anticipation now to see what each person is going to stick on the wall once they've finished their cup of coffee.
