With the intent of preserving Chinese culture, I’ve decided to take a satirical approach
at the dwindling popularity of Chinese culture.
I’ve chosen the 4 symbols of Chinese constellation as my subjects, as they each represent a season,
a direction and an element. In a different perspective, they can be a very good representation of the Chinese culture, in it’s totality.
Each creature is “preserved” in a way that reflects their respective element, accompanied by copywriting that simply "tries too hard" to be cool and current.
The outcome is my sarcastic comment at people's perceptions of Chinese Culture. What used to be such a large part of the Chinese people's lives, has now been reduced to what you'll find in the supermaket, two for $5.
