This is a piece that was done while in Germany. Our objective was to take the poem done by Herrman Hesse called The Flute Player. Working with that guidelines I worked pretty directly with the poem to form the composition. The moon is shining through the window of the night and the trees and the life in nature and the subject is meant to reach out and grasp this thing that is so familiar and so distant. The colors were spot on to my original drawing, which is a nice change from my usual process. The whole piece is done with halftones with five colors.
