An illustration for Mole, of Kenneth Graham's Wind in the Willows, and his first day of Spring.
This was my first large project in watercolor, in terms of size, research, and various elements and things. I included flowers mentioned from one of my favorite passages in the book: comfrey and the dogrose in the foreground, loose strife and the titular willow in the back.
