The First Customizable Wagon: Print Collateral

  • The First Customizable Wagon: Print Collateral
  • During my internship at Radio Flyer, which lasted from June through November of 2011, one of the projects I had the privilege of working on was the 3700 Build A Wagon Project. A company known for its brand history and innovativeness, this is the first ever Customizable Wagon. This project consists of a website dedicated to letting the consumer pick their own wagon body, choose between four fashion fabrics, as well as pick between a variety of wagon accessories. Another special element of this project is that each wagon is hand-packed and shipped at Radio Flyer. Some of my responsibilities for this project included assisting at the photo shoot, managing images and image retouching, and creating the accessory pages for the site.
  • One of my main contributions was designing the print collateral for this project. Each wagon comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and Thank You note from Robert Pasin, the Chief Wagon Officer. To continue the unique customer experience of this customizable wagon, an image of the customer’s very own wagon is featured on each of these pieces. There is also a third piece designed to allow the customer to attach a special gift message. During the pre-order period, I customized and hand-cut all of the cards for the first thirty orders.
  • Directly above are several roughs to show the development of this project.
