I had the privilege of working with Dean Bradsaw a great Aussie photographer. Very cool, outgoing dude and he called me up and invited me to his studio. We talked music for a while then started going through his photography. I picked out a few pictures to work with, we narrowed it down to 10 pictures than 5 and than came up with her.
We both really enjoy looking at inspiration sites like Vectroave/Abduzeedo and we came across a series of pictures that had 1 dominant color in it separated by silhouettes. We were looking at these vibrant colors and I told him I had never worked with a neon green as a prominent color before and he thought it would be rad if I did, and so that's how the initial idea was born.
I took it home and started working on it throughout the week. I knew from the beginning I wanted to do something human/robot combination but I didn't want to take too much away from the photography, so I started having a lot of fun with it, sent it back and fourth a few times, and came up with "The Fembot."
