The challenge was to create packaging for an item of our choosing. I was interested in using a system of symbols to package multiple parts to a whole unit. Our item to be packaged as well as the packaging needed to be targeted toward a specific audience. Rather than choosing an existing product, I developed "The Fancy Man Grown-Up Kit", a kit that includes every item necessary to make a smooth transition to "adultescence". My audience was twenty-one year old "big kids", specifically males.
For the boxes themselves, I chose black and white portrait photography of grown men and little boys that are able to be mixed and matched to create hybrid "man-children".
