  • The Encouraging Coconuts
  • As teachers at university we always try to encourage our students to give their best. We belong to a group of young multimedia design educators who teach at Fine Arts college in a public university here in La Plata, Argentina.

Every year the students work on an interactive game project during the last months of their course. Each year an exhibition takes place in the city showing our students' projects. This time the topic was based on a conceptual line that took the movie mash-up as the nucleous of each game script. Two movies were given to each of our students who worked on a new story created from the mixture of the films they watched. The result was an exhibition showing really attractive interactive games and really nice game's environments developed by them.

Coconuts and pop corn tried to show the nonsense of the whole topic, so we and our colleagues created a visual system to promote the exhibition. The Encouraging Coconuts appeared on Facebook as a way to cheer our students up during the last days of working before the exhibition.
We want to say thank you to our students for the hard work and the good energy. We want also say thank you to Fernando, Bocha, Magui, Eli, Lucas, Emi, Jona, Jesi, and Juan for let us be part of this awesome family.
