With advances in internet and cellular technology, communication has never been more accessible or simpler. The immediacy of email, texting, chatting and the like has essentially replaced  letter writing and even phoning. But what seems to have been lost in the progression is our ability to show genuine emotion. We’ve created a lexicon of shortcut graphics to offer how we may (or should be) feeling. Have we possibly limited our ability to truly feel in the process? When was the last time you actually laughed out loud when typing lol?
 
Emoticon takes a critical look at and attempts to place the missing humanity back into the daily barrage of keystrokes and button pushing now considered communication.
