This project started with the idea that everyone goes to a different “place” when they are searching for inspiration, dealing with a conflict, or just daydreaming at work. When I go to my “place” it is a little messy and elaborate. In all of my experiences I want to see every angle and find all of my choices. I can be very indecisive and sometimes, even in my daydreams, I struggle to keep my head above the clutter.
I chose to name my “place” the Edge of the Inside. The literal idea is conflicting but I believe that when you push to the edge you are most likely to find what you are looking for, and you have made it to the inside of all of your deepest thoughts and inspirations.

This collage is a part of my everyday and even though each piece is important, I must still keep perspective and not get lost in the mess. The postcards or note cards are there to “send” to yourself to help keep track of ideas and thoughts. Each postcard design is cropped from the poster. The book is a collection of quotes and collages that are inspirational, hopeful, and amusing. These elements have had some effect on me at one point in my journey. Read Less
