Rather than the standard head-and-shoulders character photo for the Steampunk World's Fair, I was asked to create a cartoon portrait of the three Davenport Sisters for their promotional material.
The Davenport Sisters are the alter-egos of three DJs for a weekly steampunk themed radio show. Emmett Davenport is the literate, serious, subdued oldest sister, fond of quiet evenings and tea. Klaude Davenport is the brash, excitable would-be inventor of the group known for silly turns-of-phrase, and an unhealthy affection for Nicola Tesla. Mingan Davenport was a traveling circus performer who wrestled bears in a side show before joining the trio, and has a love of Native culture and artifacts.
