The Crucible
One of my first client-involved projects was working with a colleague to design the promotional material for Anderson University’s annual opera. My colleague and I designed the posters, mailers, tshirts, table toppers, newspaper ads, and social media applications. To interpret the tension, darkness, and brutality of the story of “The Crucible” we stuck with black and white and portrayed a tree on a hill with bodies hanging from it. We wanted there to be a bit of illusion happening where the bodies were a bit harder to identify from a greater distance until the viewer gets closer.
